Retail source leaks FIFA 12 release date, arrives September 30th
There's little shock as FIFA 12 reveals to be heading for shop shelves this autumn, as a retailer source leaks a promotional shot of the latest instalment.
Clearly stamped a top it are the words "Coming 30th September 2011", along with some pre-order goodies teased for the Ultimate Edition, like My Live Season.

The Internet has another leak in the form of FIFA 12 footage from EA Sports which shows off their new Impact Engine and other fancy added gameplay treats.
Physics now plays a role in determining how players on the pitch react to tackling, instead of stock animation captures. Injuries are also calculated by impact too.

Season lockouts for NFL and NBA this year, and the absence of any FIFA World Cup-based title or an NBA game means EA Sports is readying for a challenge.
That challenge may well be worth "a quarter of a billion" dollars, though they're still "projecting strong profitability" for EA Sports. Fiscal plans are made "conservatively".

EA: FIFA 12's 'Impact Engine' biggest change since 07

EA Canada's lead gameplay designer Aaron McHardy is bragging that the Impact Engine is the "biggest change" to the FIFA series since FIFA 07, according to an interview with him in Official Xbox Magazine issue 73, which hits newsstands on May 10. FIFA 12's Impact Engine does away with canned animations and uses physics and body positioning and movement to determine action and injury.
