Art director Isamu Kamikokuryo confirms that two other new characters will join the Final Fantasy XIII-2 line-up, which is lead by the fresh faced Noel.
They'll be "main characters" but right now secrecy surrounds them. Some of the original cast from Final Fantasy XIII will be returning for the sequel.

A Japanese magazine reports that Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIII-2 is about '70 percent complete' and also noted a name change for one of the systems.
The 'Optima Change' system in the Japanese version will now adopt its English version name of 'Paradigm Shift', which lets you alter character roles/jobs instantly.

Koji Taguchi, a senior executive officer of Square Enix Holdings, has admitted that their Japanese counterparts did poorly at E3 this week on the show floor.
In fact it was because of the Eidos merger they had Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and Hitman to strut around and as a company they were "able to keep face."

Yoshinori Kitase and Motomu Toriyama have both revealed some new information about Final Fantasy XIII-2, like "multiple endings" featuring for the first time.
They won't be going into detail until the Tokyo Game Show later this year. Toriyama-san did reveal that Red Dead Redemption has affected their designs.
