The Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster release for PS3 has been trailered by Square Enix as they showcase the difference between the standard original game and the new HD-infused hybrid.

The Limited Edition of the HD Remaster includes an art book of concept works from both titles, and commentary from the dev teams. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD supports cross-saves from PS3 and Vita.

Square Enix is taking their time with Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD because converting it from SD to HD "isn't something we'd settle for," said Final Fantasy series producer Yoshinori Kitase. It's coming to PS3 and Vita.

There's a vague holiday release date for it this year. The team is working off 'decade old memories' for Final Fantasy X/X-2, and want to ensure the new HD looks won't ruin it.

Publisher Square Enix has unveiled their planned line-up for next week's E3 in Los Angeles. Included on the list is the Wii U Director's Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Thief and Murdered: Soul Suspect.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will provide the JRPG presence, along with Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. There'll also be more info on Deus Ex: The Fall.

Square Enix has confirmed rumors that it will be releasing an HD remake of both Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 for PlayStation 3. The Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be hitting stores on the 31st December 2013.
