Ninja Theory's Tameem Antoniades reckons the digital revolution is "such an opportunity for fun creative games" unlike the "stranglehold" of the AAA retail model.

It's "crushing innovation and access to creative content." The price point is stopping consumers taking a chance - makes you want "a known experience".

PlayGamer, a UK print magazine, is reporting that Sony is developing a sequel to one of the early PS3 games, Heavenly Sword.

Ninja Theory created Heavenly Sword but has since moved on to other projects leaving the PS3 exclusive series in limbo, but rumour has it with someone else.

Heavenly Sword may get to see itself as a trilogy someday after all. Info on who has taken up the challenge remains scarce. The original cleared 1.5 million sales.

Heavenly Sword 2? Developer Ninja-Theory was working on it but the first "didn't sell enough" for the studio have confidence in a sequel.

They're now focused on a "really good quality" multi-platform action-adventure called Enslaved. Heavenly Sword 2 could happen, maybe.
