Quantic "looking forward" to developing games with PS4's 'touchpad'
Beyond: Two Souls developer Quantic Dream is gleeful over the inclusion of a touchpad style interface with the new DualShock controller for PlayStation 4, which also includes PS Move's motion ability.
For a long time 'no-one had invented a better interface' than the game controller to access such a wide variety of videogames, but touchpad has spread like wildfire thanks to iOS and smart phones.

According to Quantic Dream's Guillaume de Fondaumiere, the developer's Heavy Rain made Sony a healthy chuck of change. The game cost €16.7 million to make, and earned the publisher over €100 million.

Quantic Dream has had PlayStation 4 development kits 'very early on' reveals studio VP Guillaume de Fondaumiere. During Sony's PS4 conference a tech demo from Quantic was shown off.
The French developer has been in pre-production on their next-gen title since the middle of 2012. They can't yet say when it will enter full production, but it's doing well.

Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls developer Quantic Dream has confirmed they're creating something for Sony's PlayStation 4. A new console is "another reason to try and innovate" their work.
The studio has "never duplicated" themselves and so whatever PS4 holds for them it is "not going to resemble" anything from PS3. Working on PS4 over PS3 is "incomparable. Very easy."

Heavy Rain composer passes away at 56 from pancreatic cancer

Normand Corbeil, the composer of the Heavy Rain soundtrack, passed away at the age of 56, succumbing to the pancreatic cancer which he'd been diagnosed with on the 15th August, 2012.
