IO Interactive boss Niels Sorensen has revealed that the development team will be split into two new teams, one whose assignment will be to develop a new intellectual property as the other works on Hitman Absolution.

Back in September, Square-Enix had been reportedly in negotiations of a deal with the province of Quebec, which led to news site La Presse Affaires claiming that Square-Enix subsidiary Eidos Montreal would increase its staff to 350 people by 2015, with 100 of them by next year.

IO Interactive has released almost 17 minutes of Hitman: Absolution in a full playthrough gameplay clip with Agent 47 unarmed and hunted by the police.

He takes refuge in an abandoned Chicago library and the trailer is called 'Run for your life'. Hitman: Absolution uses IO's new fancy Glacier 2 game engine.

IO Interactive is going to give a gift to masochistic gamers, as Hitman: Absolution will be including a hardcore difficulty level, which requires the gamer to engage in true stealth assassin style, Danish developer IO Interactive has revealed.

Danish studio IO Interactive created Hitman, a beloved series for letting us execute assassinations anyway we please but only if we figured out how.

Absolution is the new instalment and it leaves behind the "hit structure" for storytelling, making it "more personal" to 47. Choices 'made clearer' to us.
