IO listening to fans, but won't be 'dictated to' by them

Hitman series developer IO Interactive states that the company is listening to fan feedback regarding their latest game, Hitman: Absolution, but won't let the fanbase "dictate" the direction of the game.

The latest issue of EDGE magazine has caused an avalanche of Hitman: Absolution details to delight the Internet. The traditional map screen is no more.

In its place is Instinct Mode which highlights enemies and their patrols. Check points are in, levels vary from open-ended to 'tight and controlled'.

IO has focussed on "easing the player into" Hitman: Absolution

The Hitman franchise has been "a very hard game" historically, and it "still is in many ways," but IO also put a lot of new effort into "easing the player" into it.

Hitman: Absolution won't be as punishing to newcomers. The new AI means Rambo fans "can play Rambo better than ever before", but stealth is deeper too.

E3 2011: Square Enix 'saved face' at E3 thanks to Eidos merger

Koji Taguchi, a senior executive officer of Square Enix Holdings, has admitted that their Japanese counterparts did poorly at E3 this week on the show floor.

In fact it was because of the Eidos merger they had Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and Hitman to strut around and as a company they were "able to keep face."
