IO Interactive has just released Hitman: Absolution this week, but a new title in the series is being worked on at the new Square Enix Montreal studio. It'll be like 'Call of Duty with Treyarch and Infinity'.

Game director Tore Blystad says these big IPs take a long time to create just one game, so if you can "work a little bit in parallel" with another studio then it helps. It'll be a "fresh perspective" for 47.

Hitman: Absolution game director Tore Blystad says the next generation of hardware platforms will soon been pushed to their technical limits by developers. It's a "very healthy" fight for resources.

As everyone looks to claw out their share of the system's limitations it "will make people optimize" their contributions to a game's elements. It's "great to get more power," but it's gone quickly.

Nothing is known about it save it's Doom and apparently a collection of Doom titles, which already grace Xbox Live Arcade.

Hitman: Absolution releases tomorrow and in case you forgot it has a very interesting Contracts Mode, where players create their own 'missions' to be shared and fought over in league tables.

Square Enix planned to keep it guarded through an online pass system, but has decided to garrotte it and drag his corpse off into the bushes. This means its open to anyone, including you know whos.
