Sony has announced that UbiSoft's post-apocalyptic survival game I Am Alive will be arriving on PlayStation Network on the 4th April.

As a bonus, PlayStation Plus subscribers will get a 20% discount on the game in the first week of release.

It shows that players are anxious to hear about Ubisoft's upcoming releases. This reported line-up is inaccurate. We guarantee you that you'll hear directly from us soon about the amazing variety of games Ubisoft has slated for fiscal year 2012-13."]

Assassin's Creed 3 is the standout item from Ubisoft's allegedly just-announced lineup of 2012 games being released by the publisher, as well as giving the intriguing Far Cry 3 a release window.

UbiSoft digital publishing manager Thomas Paincon revealed in an interview that the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network versions of From Dust sold over 500K units, as the manager discussed UbiSoft's preference of releasing games on digital platforms to retail releases.

Creative director Stan Mettra of Ubisoft Shanghai says I Am Alive was "just not getting there" in terms of excitement, which is why it changed studios, engine tech and location.

It involves a "new concept and a changed setting," revealed Mettra. Now as a digital only title it can be "a bit more extreme," and let the Ubisoft team make "more radical choices."
