Free titles for next month if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber include RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD, and the totally unmerciful and dark action-RPG Demon's Souls.

Those will start to stalk your PS3 HDD May 29th, while also sees this month's stock of freebies come to an end; Hitman: Absolution, Joe Danger 2 and Dead or Alive 5.

Rumour: EA Partners label to discontinue, Respawn's project unaffected

Publisher EA is shaking things up and among the casualties list is apparently the EA Partners label which saw third-party developers have their work signed up for distribution through EA's retail channels.

The likes of Crysis, Left 4 Dead, Portal 2, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Bulletstorm and Rock Band all passed through the program, but now it faces the chop in the pursuit of streamlining.

Schilling moves to dismiss $75M suit from Rhode Island

38 Studio founder Curt Schilling and his legal team have moved to have the court dismiss the lawsuit by The Rhode Island Economic Development Corp. that claimed Schilling's studio defrauded the state, accusing it of "racketeering and conspiracy".

PlayStation Network content for this week includes Doom Classic Collection

Sony has announced the releases for this week for the PlayStation 3, and one of the more intriguing entries is Doom Classic Collection, which is casually and briefly mentioned in the PlayStation Network releases. Nothing is known about it save it's Doom and apparently a collection of Doom titles, which already grace Xbox Live Arcade.

Rhode Island and Gov. Chaffee suing 38 Studios

After coaxing 38 Studios to come to Rhode Island with a $75M loan to create jobs in the state, Gov. Chaffee and Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (RIEDC) have filed suit against the former development studio, in particular 38 Studios founder and former Major League Baseball pitcher Curt Schilling and former company CEO Jennifer Maclean, as well as banks Wells Fargo and Barclays Capital.
