Naughty Dog release lyrical 'alternate ending' to The Last of Us

Warning! Spoilers lie ahead so if you haven't finished The Last of Us then you shouldn't be enjoying the funny inside. Naughty Dog director Neil Druckmann reveals quick a different conclusion to Joel and Ellie.

Originally the final moments weren't meant to be interactable but play out as a cut scene. This led to quite a few takes in the mocap studio, and ultimately to some impressive lyrical outbursts.

The Last of Us 'Outbreak Day' DLC teased

Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann has tweeted a tease about upcoming DLC for The Last of Us. It's called 'Outbreak Day' and presumably puts us in the middle of the cordyceps infection as it spread.

Actor Troy Baker who voiced Joel also teased the impending DLC. Three add-on packs have been promised by Naughty Dog, including one as a single player while the others are multiplayer.

Grand Theft Auto V storms UK chart, PES 2014 follows

Who'da thunk it? Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto V has only gone and jacked the UK all format chart. The real heist in all this is the $1bn Rockstar walked away with after 72 hours of it on sale.

Closely behind - well, not that close - is Konami's PES 2014 as it enters the charts 2nd. The Last of Us rocketed 3rd from 25th for a comeback tour, and Saints Row IV is 4th.

Saints Row IV and Splinter Cell: Blacklist keep UK chart lead

Volition's Saints Row IV is once again number one in the UK all format chart, followed by Ubisoft's Splinter Cell: Blacklist coming in second. Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn debuted 3rd.

Rayman Legends entered 6th, followed by EA Sports' Madden NFL 25 7th. Payday 2 has risen 9th from 18th. The Last of Us came 13th, and Tomb Raider 16th.

UK chart led by Payday 2, ends Minecraft run

A big heist has been pulled off by Payday 2 as it raids UK gamer wallets to take the top spot in the UK all format chart. It knocks down Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, which had enjoyed three uninterrupted weeks.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 sees a surge in sales by 60% to retake 3rd, while FIFA 13 sinks 4th. Naughty Dog's The Last of Us keeps hold of 6th, as Tomb Raider holds 9th.
