Just hours after the NFL agreed to a new contract with their referees, a rumor popped up stating that Electronic Arts will have real-life referee likenesses in Madden NFL 14.

EA Sports has announced that the second year of Season Ticket is now available for purchase. The pass is available for $24.99 USD and unlocks $100 USD work of downloadable content across multiple EA Sports titles.

Madden NFL 13 enjoys 1.6M sales in first week

Electronic Arts has announced that Madden NFL 13 has sold 1.65M units across all platforms in its first week of release. This reverses the declining trend in the series, as the game has jumped 8% in sales since last year.

The game also set a record for launch day sales, with 900K units moved.

Some gamers may recall that Electronic Arts mandated that all of their games would have an online component one way or another as a protection against piracy - and a way to monetize titles post-release as well as establish the Origin digital distribution service.

EA Games president Frank Gibeau has bragged in a promotional pamphlet for Cloud Gaming USA that he has not green lit any single player titles, and nor will he.

EA Sports has announced that gamers who subscribe for the $25 USD Season Ticket for the 2012/2013 season, which includes FIFA 13, Madden NFL 13, and NHL 13, will be getting about $100 USD worth of free premium downloadable content.
