Zipper Interactive, which was best known for developing such titles as Crimson Skies and MechWarrior 3 before being purchased by Sony as a first-party developer, may be facing closure or severe layoffs.

UK high street retailer GAME and Gamestation have begun selling European PlayStation Store digital items, like first-party releases God of War Collection.
It's a "significant step forward" for GAME's digital strategy says the retailer. It also "reflects the close and long standing relationship" they have with Sony Europe.

Sony has laid off 33 employees at Zipper Interactive, according to reports coming from unnamed sources. Zipper is best known for developing Sony's online shooters like M.A.G. and SOCOM.
