Pachter: Max Payne 3 did less than 50% sales than LA Noire
Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter revealed some startling news from the NPD on his Twitter feed: Max Payne 3 did less than half of LA Noire's launch business in the same period of time.

Rockstar has announced in its official blog that it will be premiering a new initiative to stop cheating in the multiplayer mode of its popular third person shooter Max Payne 3. According to the developer, there have been what it calls "a small minority of players" who are "spoiling the Max Payne 3 multiplayer experience for honest players with cheats and hacks".

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier from Ubisoft maintains its lofty 1st position in the UK all format chart for its third consecutive week. Max Payne 3 remains static as well in 2nd.

Rockstar is releasing a Max Payne 3 PC patch tonight. The update should deal with a number of problems, from compatibility issues to mouse acceleration.
