Danger Close "doesn't exist anymore," says EA

EA has confirmed, through the vocal box of executive Patrick Soderlund, that Medal of Honor revival developer Danger Close has had the letter 'd' added for 'Danger Closed'. The studio is no more.

Instead the bulk of the workforce has been conscripted for the new DICE LA studio, which is currently tasked with supporting DICE's Stockholm talent with various projects.

Doug Creutz of analyst firm Cowen has revised down his sales forecast for EA's Medal of Honor: Warfighter from 2.3m to 1.4m, citing a "very soft performance" since E3.

He bases his data off of Amazon's game rankings. The "most likely culprit" for this "disinterest" from FPS gamers is the "poor quality of the last" Medal of Honor from 2010.

It seems that Electronic Arts has accidentally confirmed the development of Battlefield 4, as a now-removed listing on the Origin Store promised beta access to the shooter with pre-orders of Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

EA holding Medal of Honor press event March 6th

Publisher EA has sent out invites to a press event they've got planned for the Medal of Honor franchise. They're gearing up to announce where it's going next in the long-running series.

It takes place Tuesday, March 6th at 8.00pm PST (4.00am GMT). The invites carried the same insignia as on the leaflets found in Battlefield 3. Work on a sequel started early 2011.

GAME slips info about EA meeting on Twitter, new MOH and Need for Speed 13 mentioned

Retailer GAME is having a meeting with EA today to view some of the games that should be coming out in 2012.

During the meeting GAME took to Twitter to slip some information and mentioned a new Medal of Honor game and Need for Speed 13.
