UbiSoft digital publishing manager Thomas Paincon revealed in an interview that the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network versions of From Dust sold over 500K units, as the manager discussed UbiSoft's preference of releasing games on digital platforms to retail releases.

Sony announces Fall PSN sale for North America

Sony has announced on the PlayStation US Blog a weeklong PlayStation Network sale for various PSN hits. The sale runs from now til the 29th November. Some of the highlights include the moody monochromatic puzzle platformer Limbo, its vibrant technicolor counterpart Outland, the tactical puzzle game Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, and the surprisingly effective shooter Section 8: Prejudice.

Ubisoft FY11 income sees "sharp upturn", titles in the millions

Publisher Ubisoft has now posted their entire fiscal year results for FY2011, and it's looking mighty fine. Total sales hit EUR 1,039m versus FY2010's EUR 871m.

Q4 sales landed higher than their guidance at EUR 178m, although that is down from last year's Q4. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood has sold over 7.2m units.

Sony list PlayStation Plus "mid month treats", free PSN PAIN

This month is PlayStation Plus' "biggest Plus month yet," boast Sony and now they've announced what else subscribers have to look forward to.

There's "exclusively early" access to SOCOM Pro in Europe giving fans "different game modes at launch" and future weapons, maps and other updates.

Capy's Nathan Vella has informed Joystiq that Might & Magic; Clash of Heroes, which is Puzzle Quest with a Might & Magic theme, will be hitting Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network sometime in mid-April. The game was a hit on the Nintendo DS in 2009.
