Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition for PC releases digitally July 3rd

Warner Bros. has decided the PC brigade need some Mortal Kombat in their diet and so announce the Komplete Edition, which crams in every released bit of DLC for NetherRealm's visceral brawler.

There are 15 Klassic Mortal Kombat Skins and 3 Klassic Fatalities included. It has been adapted for PC by High Voltage Software, and it includes Tag Team, Challenge Tower and a full story.

Mortal Kombat was released last year in February, so it had a snowball's chance in Hades of being released in Australia at the time. Warner Bros has announced that it will be submitting Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition to the Australian Classification Board, now that the country has established its R18+ mature rating.

Sony has announced the release of "Ultimate Editions" of several major PlayStation 3 titles, essentially full game downloads with all of the game's downloadable content included.

This week's North American PlayStation Update includes five games available for free on PlayStation Plus, as well as the release of Wheels Of Destruction, The Price Is Right Decades and I Am Alive on PSN.

Also on PSN this week are demos for Warp and Time Machine, as well as one for I Am Alive. The major downloadable content released for this week include discounts for Mortal Kombat DLC.

Developer NetherRealm wants to make games without the need to scream 'Finish him!', says studio boss and series creator Ed Boon. He'd "be surprised" if they didn't release another.

The latest instalment to MK has revived the series and has sold over 3m copies. They love the visceral brawler but dream of "different genres, different IPs."
