Following on from the Modern Warfare 2 trend, id Software co-founder and technical wiz John Carmack has confirmed that the developer doesn't plan to add dedicated server support for the multiplayer component of Rage. "It's not cast in stone yet, but at this point no, we don’t think we will have dedicated servers," said Carmack, talking to Variety. | |

Infinity War seems to be trying to push the boundaries of fan tolerance to their limits as they revealed yet another cutback for Modern Warfare 2. Ubisoft executive Alain Martinez has been talking about what we can expect to see from the Assassin's Creed series in 2010 during a conference call with investors. Martinez said in reply to the subject; "There might be something around Assassin's Creed, and you mentioned that there will be a movie of Prince of Persia." There's the PC version of Assassin's Creed 2 in early 2010, but that's all we know about. | |

Codemasters have told Strategy Informer that it will release the first Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising downloadable content for the PC tomorrow, with a patch update planned too. This DLC will also be coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3, but PC users will be the only ones getting it for free. | |

Cyberpunk sci-fi author Richard Morgan has signed with publisher EA to pen a script "for a particular game" already in the pipeline he reveals.
The Altered Carbon author also lets slip, without violating his NDA, that he's to "consult on three" different games. Crysis 2 is a possibility. | |

US retailer GameStop accidentally boasted a pre-order treat for Bad Company 2, blabbing about the PS3 beta starting November 19th.
This promotion was pulled but the Internet has it now. EA are coy but pledge "more details later this week," are to be revealed for fans. | |

According to the LinkedIn profile for Chris Kolmatycki, he was once a game designer at HB Studios, and worked on a Family Guy game.
It was pre-production work for a "Family Guy Party Game" on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. Another online profile corroborates a little. | |

Publisher Activision has been criticized for the high RRP of Modern Warfare 2, but some retailer deals cut its price by over half its tag.
What's more is that supermarkets in the UK are likely to slash the price deep, with ASDA already having done so with FIFA 10. | |
