Ken Levine's Irrational Games won't be leading the warped alternate reality of the BioShock universe any more, but Take-Two aren't letting the franchise sink to depths unknown. 2K Marin will be taking responsibility.

There's "a lot of upside" to BioShock, says CEO Strauss Zelnick, and it "hasn't necessarily been realized yet." 2K Marin was behind BioShock 2, a direct sequel.

Rebellion's Sniper Elite 3 is now available for pre-purchase through Steam with 20% off its launch price, and includes the 'Target Hitler' DLC. The studio also mentions a "significant announcement" is due next week.

It's "not about" Sniper Elite 3 they say, which is due June 27th, but next week's news will be a "huge step" toward making Sniper Elite's core gameplay even more famous.

Cross-platform update for War Thunder due in "immediate future"

Gaijin Entertainment will release an update soon for free-to-play MMO War Thunder that will enable cross-platform play between PC and PlayStation 4. The Ground Forces expansion is due June 5th on PS4.

There's no specific date for this major update but Gaijin did say its due in the "immediate future", and Thursday next week sounds rather immediate and futuristic enough.

DICE boss Karl Magnus Troedsson has issued an open letter to "all Battlefield fans" to assure us his studio won't be calling it quits on Battlefield 4, despite the emergence of Visceral Games' Battlefield Hardline.

He's excited about the "completely new concept" with Hardline which stays true to the "core gameplay pillars" of Battlefield, but DICE remains committed to Battlefield 4.

Ubisoft "working to fix" Uplay server troubles, Watch Dogs plagued with glitches

Unfortunately the launch of Watch Dogs hasn't gone smoothly for Ubisoft as the Uplay servers have been overwhelmed and suffering an authentication issue, which has had a knock-on effect with other titles.

If that wasn't bad enough, the PC version of Watch Dogs is also suffering terribly from framerate stutters on even high-end GPUs despite having graphical settings lowered.

CD Projekt RED and GOG.com Summer Conference June 5th, The Witcher 3 present

Developer CD Projekt RED and its digital arm GOG.com will be holding their Summer Conference this June 5th, where we'll hear of GOG.com's future plans and get more details about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

They'll also use the event to unveil the Collector's Edition for the RPG, now due in February 2015. A live stream will be available for when the event begins June 5th @ 11.00 AM PST.

IO Interactive tease first artwork of next Hitman, "under wraps for a bit longer"

The next Hitman is in progress at developer IO Interactive who have just blogged their first tease for the game, and have released a concept artwork of a game level located in Central Europe.

The huge building in the image is "larger than any location" in Hitman: Absolution, and fully explorable inside and out. IO will be keeping it "under wraps for a bit longer" with no E3 showing.

For those of us yet to snag Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 for our library of games, Konami has some good news for us. The price point across all platforms has been lowered and is now €29.99.

Of course the savviest of gamers will know only to bare their fangs at Lords of Shadow 2 when a sales on, especially now that means an even lower bargain, like on Amazon US right now.

Deep Silver has announced Keen Games' Sacred 3 will be droping-in/out this August 5th as the co-op action-RPG launches, with pre-orders now available. A new trailer has also been released for 'Weapon Spirits'.

These are new to the Sacred universe and they enhance weapons with upgradeable and interchangeable augmentations, each with their own buffs and debuffs.

Telltale Games' latest episode for The Wolf Among Us has released today bringing the season closer to its finale. Episode 4 - In Sheep's Clothing is the "penultimate" instalment and is now available.

It's launched for PC and PlayStation Network but will arrive on Xbox Live tomorrow. The Wolf Among Us is set before the first issue of Fables, the comic universe it's based off.

Bethesda has announced that Shinji Makami's The Evil Within, being developed by his new Tango Gameworks studio, will be scaring us something awful this Halloween on October 21st. Pre-order bonus on offer.

A special trailer has been released where see genuine reactions of playtesters, which gave Bethesda "plenty of entertainment value." It releases days later in Europe.

Determined busybodies have been dissecting the latest Battlelog update from DICE and have discovered an acronym of interest lurking within the code. 'BFH' is the culprit, but no one is pointing at Battlefield Heroes.

Instead people are looking at 'Battlefield: Hardline', the supposed Police-themed spin-off in the works over at Visceral Games. The evidence begins with new icons.

A new teaser trailer has been posted by WB Games as they announce LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, which will be seeing the return of the plastic Dark Knight and his crime-fighting chums this autumn.

TT Games promise an "astounding amount" of DC Comics characters and even more gadgets. Beyond Gotham takes Batman to outer space to fight the villainous Brainiac.

Director Duncan Jones has announced that shooting for the Warcraft movie has finally concluded, which it did before the weekend. Despite being "officially wrapped", years of work still remains to be done.

There are a lot of special effects to bring Azeroth to life, which is being led by Lucasfilms' Industrial Light & Magic - the studio built out of the foundations of Star Wars.

Ubisoft has confirmed that the newly announced Far Cry 4 and Assassin's Creed Unity will be a part of this year's E3 event by the publisher, as will The Division, The Crew, and others like Valiant Hearts: The Great War.

We're super close now to the release of Watch Dogs and Ubisoft has finally let launch trailer run amok on the internet. The Ubisoft Montreal game gives us an entire city to play with as Aiden Pearce and his apps.

The trailer is full of cars, bullets, brooding narration, and even a malfunctioning helicopter. Ubisoft said they needed those extra 5 months of development to 'follow Plan A'.

4A Games and Deep Silver have officially confirmed that Metro Redux is a thing, and that thing is a "fully re-mastered and improved" re-release of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light for PC, Xbox One and PS4.

They boast 60FPS on the consoles with "new and improved content and features" for all. It's "much more" than a HD tune-up, with 2033 rebuilt in Last Light's engine.

A new story trailer has been released by WB Games for the upcoming Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, but Warner has also revealed the casting list and the game's composer. Troy Baker voices Talion.

Nathan Drake's Nolan North fills the role of Black Hand, and Alastair Duncan is the Wraith. Laura Bailey gives voice to Ioreth and Liam O'Brien is the spotlight stealing Gollum.
