It continues to "uphold strong repeat sales" as they prepare to release PES 2012. Profit for Konami's first quarter of 2012 was up a very handsome 220 percent.

EA Sports' FIFA 11 is blasting penalty shots at the top of the UK all formats chart, with rival PES 2010 entering 2nd place. There are 2 other big entries...
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow released last week coming 6th, while Enslaved: Odyssey to the West managed 7th. 2K Sports' NBA 2K11 scrapes 19th.

Producer Shingo Takatsuka of PES has admitted their team at Konami "were not prepared enough" in meeting the expectations of the current gens.
Every new title in the series meant more game freedom "gradually disappeared" said Takatsuka-san. PES 2011 can "triple" what fans expect.
