Konami: Asian Champions League to be in all future PES titles

From this point on all future instalments of the Pro Evolution Soccer series will include the Asian Football Confederation Champions League, as the publisher signs a licensing agreement with the body.

This joins the UEFA Champions League license already in use. The next title will be using Kojima Productions' Fox Engine to power it, they revealed last month.

PES 2013 to see "full extension of the 2v2 mode" in December 20th patch

Konami's PES 2013 will be receiving its next patch this December 20th, announces PES team leader Jon Murphy. Patch 1.03 will improve on the "acceptable" 2v2 mode to make it "even more intuitive".

The update also addresses the "overall balance of the game" with "a few aesthetic improvements here and there," thrown in for good measure. New goal celebrations have been added too.

Konami launch myPES Facebook app today for PES 2013

Publisher Konami's social network tie-in app for PES 2013 goes live today as the myPES app creates a direct connection between the sports game and mega-huge Facebook.

It provides fans a "vast addition of stats and achievements" for both online and offline games. It also lets you join or create regional groups or private leagues. Social networking strikes again.

First DLC pack now available for PES 2013

Konami has announced that the first major DLC pack is available for Pro Evolution Soccer 2013, and have also announced some of the details for the second DLC pack.

Today PES 2013 gets a title update for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC as Konami add a new Widget system for the online portion so it's far easier to keep tabs on friends and kick off some matches.

There's now also the option of conceding an online match at half-time to help alleviate abrupt exits. Konami also offer more free DLC in the form of updated rosters, UEFA stuff and new designs.
