Rumour: EA Partners label to discontinue, Respawn's project unaffected
Publisher EA is shaking things up and among the casualties list is apparently the EA Partners label which saw third-party developers have their work signed up for distribution through EA's retail channels.
The likes of Crysis, Left 4 Dead, Portal 2, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Bulletstorm and Rock Band all passed through the program, but now it faces the chop in the pursuit of streamlining.

Harmonix has announced that after 275 consecutive weeks of releasing song downloadable content for Rock Band and its sequels, it'll finally be ending on the 2nd April.

The legal wrangling between developer Harmonix and entertainment company Viacom may have finally come to a conclusion, with the developer enjoying a windfall of cash at the end. An arbitrator has forced Viacom to cough up $383M to the Rock Band developer.

Dance Central and Rock Band studio Harmonix is very interested in continuing to explore motion gaming, adding it's "safe to say" more will come from them.
There's a "cauldron of creativity" over at Harmonix boasted CEO Alex Rigopulos, and they've got "a lot of very cool new ideas" in the works beyond established IP.

This week's delivery of US PlayStation Store goods has arrived and it's packing some Rock Band track and Dead Rising 2 DLC sales for the PS3 shopper.
