Section 8: Prejudice finally has a release date on PlayStation Network. The shooter will be released in Europe on July 27, and North America on July 26, according to TimeGate Studios. To make up for the delay, the PSN version will come with Skirmish and Assault, which was formerly DLC for the Xbox Live Arcade and PC versions.

TimeGate Studios has announced that two new downloadable content packs will be coming in July for their digitally distributed sequel Section 8: Prejudice.

Section 8: Prejudice, the digital downloadable version of the original title launched in 2009, will be hitting Xbox Live Arcade on April 20, and PC and PlayStation 3 on May 4.

As with the original, players have the ability to drop spawn on the battlefield wherever they choose, while multiple game modes and Dynamic Combat Missions ensure diverse gaming experiences. Gamers can also expect more than 50 customizable weapons, tools and upgrades for an even greater level of control in defining their own play style.

A behind-the-scenes video has gone up for TimeGate Studios' Section 8: Prejudice, a digital-only sequel to 2009's multiplatform shooter Section 8.

The studio discusses the changes made like overhauled controls, all-new additions and what we can expect from the campaign. It's due out soonish.

TimeGate have said that a third game in the Section 8 franchise is already being worked on, despite their upcoming sequel, Prejudice, not even being out yet.

Speaking to Strategy Informer, TimeGate CEO Adel Chaveleh commented that the next sequel was being prototyped, and mused that it was the same as when the first Section 8 game was being made.
