Earlier, a downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 called Vengeance was tipped off by promotion material for a retail store. Now, Activision has officially confirmed the DLC, which will be heading to Xbox 360 on the 2nd July, and PC and PlayStation 3 later in the month.

There's going to be plenty of shooting in Wolfenstein: The New Order, but developer MachineGame is taking it away from solidly focusing on the first-person shooter aspect and encompassing a lot action adventure.

The Close Quarters downloadable content is free for Battlefield 3 owners on all platforms if they act fast. PC players can get it free by merely using BF3E3 in the Redeem Product Code section of the order form.

It seems that DICE has abandoned the Battlefield: Bad Company series, as the studio is busy with three major projects including Battlefield 4 (and its downloadable content), Mirror's Edge 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront. Executive producer Patrick Bach claims, however, Bad Company has not been forgotten. It's just not being developed right now.

EA has confirmed, through the vocal box of executive Patrick Soderlund, that Medal of Honor revival developer Danger Close has had the letter 'd' added for 'Danger Closed'. The studio is no more.

Transformers director Michael Bay is signing on with Ubisoft to develop an action movie based off Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon series, which is all about flashy advanced weapons tech that's "not sci-fi."
Ubisoft want it noted that their arsenal of weapons in Ghost Recon are all "very grounded." This is the third IP from Ubisoft to get the silver screen treatment after Splinter Cell and Assassin's Creed.

EA Games label executive VP Patrick Soderlund said "something as boring as resources and availability" was keeping EA from signing for the Star Wars license with Disney, but then along came DICE.
The studio practically demanded to know why they weren't talked to, and that they 'want' Battlefront. Soderlund admits you "don't really tell them what to do" over at DICE.

Developer Dennaton has tweeted a teasing picture of a menu title screen for a little game called 'Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number'. It was announced back in November a sequel was in the works.
The synthesised Hotline Miami proved a whopping critical hit when it released - it's totally bonkers. Hotline Miami 2 hasn't been nailed down to any platforms yet, but PC and Mac is likely.

During EA's E3 press conference, DICE rolled out the big guns with Battlefield 4 and revealed what Commander Mode means for the upcoming new shooter. They also showcased just how crazy destruction has got.
Battlefield 4 has something they call 'levelution' which means the map and player tactics can drastically alter after, say, collapsing a skyscraper. We're treated to such a spectacle.
