| Former EVP of core games at THQ, Danny Bilson, recounts his time at the now extinct publisher, saying it was "brilliant at what it did" from 1991 to 2007 making a fortune for themselves and investors. There were "legacy issues" which plagued the company, slowing them down. They went from casual and licensed titles to AAA but were "shutting studios the whole time," says Bilson. |

| Ubisoft acquired Obsidian Entertainment's South Park: The Stick of Truth from the THQ collapse, paying $3.2m for the privilege. It has been notably absent from the publisher's scheduled release line-ups. However Ubisoft has confirmed that South Park: The Stick of Truth will be launching this year, although they have no concrete date to offer. Originally it had been due to release later this month. |
