Ubisoft has released a gameplay trailer for South Park: The Stick of Truth and it includes the first 13 minutes of the RPG, where the new kid in town moves to the neighbourhood and gets introduced to the gang.

You'll see how quickly Obsidian and the South Park team start mocking the usual tropes of video games, like the hero 'not remembering' his past, and how others react to us not speaking... ever.

Ubisoft took over the publishing role for Obsidian Entertainment's South Park: The Stick of Truth as THQ went down in flames, so naturally the question of Uplay arises, however it won't be used at all for the RPG.

Obsidian has confirmed "it's a Steam game, with Steam achievements, etc." This will please many who distrust Uplay given its sordid past on PC, but Steamworks remains.

A new video has been released for South Park: The Stick of Truth that goes behind-the-scenes on the upcoming RPG, and it looks at developer Obsidian as well as Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

Their goal, ultimately, is to achieve that "authentic crapiness" of South Park so people walking in can mistake the game for a new episode. Currently it's due for release March 4th.

Pillars of Eternity developer Obsidian Entertainment has a "next generation game" project in the works, according to a job ad for a 'Junior/Intermediate UI Artist', and requires experience on a AAA title.

Obsidian has teased they're working on a licensed property and are looking to Kickstarter again for approval. It will not be Alpha Protocol 2, that much is sure.

Watch Dogs was nearing release but then suddenly Ubisoft announced it would be delayed into 2014. Everything seemed to be going great, the hype machine was in full swing and fans wanted hacking super powers.

Some titles get a few months delay while others practically start over, and Watch Dogs push into 2014 even surprised Ubisoft insiders. It's "not where we want it to be."
