This week on the New World's PlayStation Store update are demos for NBA 2K12 and Criterion's Burnout Crash!, which also releases as a digital title.
Resident Evil 4 and Saints Row 2 join the PSN catalogue, and Fallout: New Vegas receives it's Lonesome Road DLC, as does Street Fighter III: Third Strike.

Capcom has announced in a blog post that Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition will be receiving a few DLC packs.
The initial DLC will be "Color Pack 1", which will add seven new colors for every fighter. However, only people who also own the pack will be able to see the new colors you've painted on your fighter. The Color Pack 1 will be released on September 6 for $2.99 USD.

Another period of seven days (i.e. a week) has passed and so the US PlayStation Store dusts off its shelves ready for new stock. Three new full games arrive.

Street Fighter 3 "does not make use" of PSN DRM, play it offline

Capcom has announced that PlayStation Network's Street Fighter 3 Third Strike won't be carrying any DRM, which means offline play is a-okay.
This move was deemed "very important for future tournament use," said Christian Svensson. The PSN brawler has numerous rule sets for tournaments.

Sony announces PSN Play

Sony has instituted its own version of Microsoft's Summer of Arcade with the unimaginatively titled "PlayStation Network Play". As with Microsoft's promotion, Sony will offer a game a week on every Wednesday for the next month, and buying all four titles grants a fifth free title.
