London Games Conference doubts THQ's ability to survive going digital

Games Brief's Nicholas Lovell presented a session at the London Games Conference, where over 70 percent of 160 attendees voted THQ a 'zero' for surviving a digital transition.

Senior publishing figures were among those who voted. THQ's lack of must-have properties is the problem. Next week they release Volition's Saints Row: The Third.

WWE All Stars DLC now available

THQ has announced that WWE All Stars has just got a fresh batch of DLC called 'The Southern Charisma Pack' which adds three notable wrestlers to the roster.

Big Boss Man, Michael 'PS' Hayes and 'World's Strongest Man' Mark Henry are available for purchase in the DLC pack from Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network.

THQ posts $136.1m loss for fiscal 2011, uDraw for Xbox 360, PS3

Publisher THQ has revealed their financials for the fiscal year now passed and they record a loss of $136.1m, while net sales were in fact stronger at $802.3m.

Q4 '11 didn't perform as well as the previous year's, but Homefront is attributed as their 'primary drive' for success. The new IP has had a "solid start".

Bilson "a genius" in industry because he games, THQ "don't test"

Core games VP Danny Bilson of publisher THQ says it makes him "a genius" within the videogames industry because he's a gamer, compared to other execs.

Those that don't play games easily lose touch as they've 'no instincts'. THQ don't rely on teenage test groups, otherwise it's "time to go to the rest home."
