The strategy revival of XCOM with Enemy Unknown from Civilization developer Firaxis will be arriving before the upcoming shooter, as it gets delayed into next year, reports Game Informer.
Fans will likely give a cheer that at least the more 'faithful' return of XCOM will still be gracing us. Enemy Unknown keeps the tactical turn-based play that made the PC series.

Firaxis, the builders of Civilizations, is remaking the XCOM series separate from the upcoming shooter reinterpretation. Details have been locked away but they're trickling out.
Time Units are dropped as each character can move and perform an action, there are classes, 16 individual countries with pros and cons, and Sectoids, Mutons, and Cyberdiscs are in.
