Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag single-player game director Ashraf Ismail has revealed in an interview that the special downloadable content exclusive to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 will star Aveline.

Tick tock. High seas piracy and ceiling pipe espionage will be exposed tonight with Ubisoft's E3 2013 Media Briefing, which starts at 2.40pm PDT in the US, and 10.40pm BST/11.40pm CET in Europe. We're streaming!

All those data bits will be funnelled right here for your viewing pleasure. It starts at a totally bonkers 40 minutes past the hour, dismissing the 30 minute mark as too rational and cliche.

Titan Media has announced that it will be releasing a new book, The Art of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, on the 28th October. The publisher will release a special slipcased edition of the book as well which will be limited to 500 copies. The special edition includes two exclusive Black Flag concept art prints, signed by the artists.

Ubisoft unveils novels and guides for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

In a transmedia campaign, Ubisoft has announced that a novel, an art book and a strategy guide are being published for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Penguin Books is publishing the novel in the UK November 7th.

In the US Ace Books will release it later on November 26th.

Ubisoft has revealed the preorder bonuses that will be attached to Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. Unfortunately, every retail chain and major site will have different bonuses, so gamers will have to be choosy about what appeals to them.
