It seems Battlefield makers DICE are being given the extremely important role of handling the Star Wars license EA secured from Disney. They aim for DICE LA to have 60 staff by 2013's end.
The new Los Angeles studio has already incorporated Medal of Honor's Danger Close devs, as well as fresh faces. EA is mulling over sequels or brand new Star Wars stories.

A survey going around for DICE's Battlefield 4 has been confirmed as legitimate by EA, but what it contains shouldn't be taken as gospel for what's coming, like when it mentioned "dramatic water-based combat."
Piloting attack boats, inflatable boats, and jet skis on "swelling seas and stormy oceans" might not happen. The survey also talks about blowing dams open to flood combat zones.

If you thought you'd be retiring on that big fat cheque from EA because you domain parked yourself at Battlefield16.com, then think again. EA has been on the war path and annexed a few more slithers of the internet.
The publisher already held ownership of domains all the way up to Battlefield9.com, but their legal department decided to snatch some more just in case. Pure numeracy is cool, who needs subtitles?

EA to stop licensing with weapons manufacturers, will keep using branded guns

EA has had some questionable marketing links with weapons manufacturers in the past, which by the way they vow never to do again, but now they're going one step further; they won't license guns anymore.
No more royalty cheques from EA for using real-world weapons, but that doesn't mean they won't stop using them. They intend to wield the 'fair use' argument in court, if necessary.
