Developer CD Projekt RED and its digital arm will be holding their Summer Conference this June 5th, where we'll hear of's future plans and get more details about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

They'll also use the event to unveil the Collector's Edition for the RPG, now due in February 2015. A live stream will be available for when the event begins June 5th @ 11.00 AM PST.

Polish developer CD Projekt RED hopes to be on stage at E3 2014, but who's stage will they be standing on to showcase The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt? Microsoft offered the spotlight to the RPG series at E3 2013.

Whoever they stand with, co-founder Marcin Iwinski assures fans they will "not deliver exclusive content to any of the platforms," nor will they artificially delay releases.

Are you bracing for another push back with The Witcher 3's release? CD Projekt RED would like to reassure us this isn't their first RPG rodeo, and that there will be "no more delays" to Geralt's return.

Co-founder Marcin Iwinski admits they "could have done a better job" with The Witcher 2 by spending more time on it, and so they weren't going to repeat that mistake.

Level designer Miles Tost for CD Projekt RED's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gave a world-building tech demonstration during GDC, where he showcased their methods to populate such a vast world without melting PCs.

He also reiterated that CD Projekt RED is still deathly allergic to DRM and will have The Witcher 3 on sale through "from day one." It's more harmful than good for industry.

How does CD Projekt RED manage to generate a huge open world in The Witcher 3 without crippling our PCs? They explain how the Umbra 3 middleware only 'loads' parts of the world we're actually looking at.

In a GDC presentation, programmer Przemyslaw Czatrowski said they greatly freed up graphics memory by just rendering what we see, as the world is parcelled into 'tomes'.
