EA's presence at this year's gamescom in Germany will include The Sims 4, announces the official twitter. So far only a teasing new logo has been released with some art of the new Sims.
They got some bullet points to read on the official website, if you happen to speak Simlish that is. EA promises that The Sims 4 will not be requiring an always-on connection, unlike SimCity.

A teaser trailer for Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number has been posted online, although no gameplay is included. It's enough to make you go on an animal mask wearing virtual rampage, or it will later in 2013.
The "gruesome saga" of Hotline Miami concludes with the sequel, say Dennaton Games and Devolver Digital, who give no specific date but do confirm it's for PC, Mac and Linux.

There's going to be plenty of shooting in Wolfenstein: The New Order, but developer MachineGame is taking it away from solidly focusing on the first-person shooter aspect and encompassing a lot action adventure.
The setting for New Order is perfect to take players and "explore the realities of this new world" where a Nazi Global Empire has formed in very retro, sci-fi fashion.

Not another MOBA? Wait! Sneaky Games are shunning twitch for turns. Arena of Heroes doesn't play out in real-time but as a turn-based tactical MOBA with four heroes battling for dominance. End turn!
Smaller battle zones and a slower pace await those who'd prefer a little more tactical planning in their MOBA. It has now entered the open beta phase. Each player is capped at 2 minutes per turn.

It has also seen the biggest launch for a new IP since L.A. Noire back in 2011. It was Nintendo's new entry Animal Cross: New Lead that came 2nd followed by GRID 2 and Tomb Raider.

Those scurvy dogs have done it again! Ubisoft is launching the PC version of the next Assassin's Creed later than on consoles. Fortunately it's only to be "a few weeks" later before piracy runs rampant on PC.
I'm sure there was only one legal, copyright-respecting way to read into that. Ubisoft swears it's "working hard" on the desktop version, and that it "looks phenomenal."

Valve may soon enact plans to let friends share their digital library with others through Steam. That's according to some code spotted within the latest beta build release for the Steam client.
It makes references to a "shared game library" with dialogue prompts. It's similar to Xbox One's strategy, in which multiple users can't play the same title simultaneously.

Developer Spiders Studio has issued a significant update to their cyberpunk RPG Mars War Logs after fans were "disappointed with the narrative" of the game. It didn't stick close enough to its French origins.
The English language experience was too dilute, and even made little sense at times, so Spiders rewrote and revoiced the game's dialogue. They capture the first 'new' 7 minutes of the RPG.

It's rumoured that Sony Online's development of the MMO has been rebooted at least once. Little in the way of specific details have been blabbed by Sony, and it's possible they've pushed it to PS4.

WB Games Montreal is behind Batman: Arkham Origins, not franchise creator Rocksteady, and so creative director Eric Holmes says people "have the right to be cynical" about what type of game this will be.
He implores those who can to try it out at event booths, and that fans will see it's "authentic and uses the same underpinnings" as the Arkham series. There's plenty to draw a crowd with.

DayZ creator Dean Hall is all for dropping the DayZ universe into the likes of a turn-based Jagged Alliance 2 environment, noting "what a great game that would make." What about something more modern like XCOM?
Hall is "not a fan" of Firaxis' Enemy Unknown, although he loves the originals. He hopes DayZ will expand into other genres, and he feels it important to make something without zombies.
