Sony will be bringing the PlayStation 4 out this year in the UK, or at least that's what a full page PS4 ad says will be happening in a national newspaper. Sony is yet to officially reveal launch dates.

It is said to be launching in at least one territory 'holiday 2013', so hopefully the UK is on Sony's Santa list. Traditionally Europe and the UK have had to wait longer for a new PlayStation to debut.

Indie developer Spearhead Games, founded by former Electronic Arts and Ubisoft developers, has announced a new co-op action puzzle game Tiny Brains for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 3. The game debuted at PAX East and will be at E3 as well.

Actvision had Bungie have released a new live-action trailer for Destiny, directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Cowboys & Aliens) and starring Giancarlo Esposito (Revolution television series). The 60 second ad revolves around the mythology of the Destiny-verse.

The latest major tune-up of SOE's PlanetSide 2 is GU09 and it addresses the map system, which replaces the Hex-based conquest pathing with a series of 'Lattice Link' avenues of attack, helping control the chaos.

It means that installations now need to be hardlined into each other, and can't go 'wireless'. It's designed to make the battle flow simpler to follow, and not leave us scratching our heads.
