22Cans' Peter Molyneux has criticised Microsoft for their rather poor 'ecosystem' for supporting indie and small developer projects, adding it "drives me crazy." With Windows and Xbox you'd think they'd go all out.
He remarks it's a "wasted opportunity" that Microsoft doesn't foster an ecosystem combining the two in a "truly encouraging way." He understands the need for secrecy because of leaks, but "it doesn't seem right".

Just because EA and AMD are all chummy doesn't mean that other parties are getting the cold shoulder. Frostbite 3 was shown off with optimisations for AMD hardware, but that's just to prove day one support.
DICE doesn't operate a "partnership with AMD specifically" with Battlefield 4, but for the purpose of optimising the tech for AMD gamers. Nvidia nor Intel are being side-lined with Frostbite 3.

WB Games Montreal is behind Batman: Arkham Origins, not franchise creator Rocksteady, and so creative director Eric Holmes says people "have the right to be cynical" about what type of game this will be.
He implores those who can to try it out at event booths, and that fans will see it's "authentic and uses the same underpinnings" as the Arkham series. There's plenty to draw a crowd with.
