Geoff Keighley has confirmed via Twitter that a new Star Wars game will be announced during the VGAs on December 12th.

Ubisoft has released a trailer for Avatar: The Game that takes a look at some of the multiplayer maps in the game, as well as plenty of RDA versus Na’vi combat.

Kevin Shortt of Ubisoft put words and paragraphs together for Far Cry 2, but he admits openly he's not attached to the latest release.

He knows "the team are" however, and from what he's seen so far it "looks pretty exciting," Shortt teases. Details are scarce on the game.

Darksiders: Wrath of War - Hellbook 2 trailer

THQ has sent over a new trailer for Darksiders: Wrath of War entitled "Hellbook 2". The trailer features gameplay footage of War using his "Chaos Eater" sword and other weapons to defeat various enemies.

Darksiders: Wrath of War releases for PS3 and Xbox 360 in January.

Publisher EA has decided to break the silence and reveal the Mercenaries franchise is continuing, with 'Mercs Inc' as it's next instalment.

Not only that but it's at the "early stages" with Pandemic at their new EA LA digs. This shows EA's commitment to their "rich catalog", they say.

Square Enix today announced that Just Cause 2 will be released on 23rd March, 2010 in North America and 26th March, 2010 in Europe, Middle East and Australasia.

Ubisoft announced today that Assassin's Creed II has sold over 1.6 million units in its first week worldwide. This represents 32% growth over the first week sales of Assassins Creed.

LucasArts: Online co-op for LEGO Indiana Jones 2 in "a few weeks"

Apparently those guys over at LucasArts have noticed that "everyone wants" online co-op play for LEGO Indiana Jones 2. It's totally true.

A patch for the game is in the works and should be ready in "a few weeks" time, for Xbox 360 and PS3 LEGO gamers. No user-created sharing.

Capcom has released a new trailer for Dark Void featuring mixed combat scenes.

Dark Void is scheduled for release across Europe on January 22nd for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Sega has announced that a demo for Bayonetta will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network in the US and Europe on 3rd December.

Bayonetta is set for release in the US on 5th January and in Europe on 8th January for Xbox 360 and PS3.

Some more details of Kane & Lynch 2 have escaped Square Enix, they own Eidos don't forget, and so we now know we play as Lynch.

It also appears to be set in Shanghai, the "perfect playground for expat criminals" to make huge money. It will support online co-op play.

Capcom: Dark Void movie to be handled by star Brad Pitt's Plan B

Plan B Entertainment, that's Brad Pitt's production company, will be dealing with all that Hollywood silver-screen stuff for Dark Void.

This is Capcom's latest IP which is due out next year on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. It's all sci-fi with aliens, jetpacks and the Bermuda triangle.

Over on NeoGAF, a posted who claims to be an ex-Pandemic says it was all the studio managements fault, they were "given free reign".

Execs "dropped the ball" they continued, with the studio upkeep high but recent products "weren't up to snuff". The Saboteur 'sent to die' by EA.

Assassin's Creed II is the first Ubi title to feature Uplay support, which means actions and accomplishments earn "Win Units" to be spent.

It's like a micro-transaction shop but the points are earned from playing the games, which can then be used to buy "exclusive in-game content".

Developer Gearbox Software has said how they could have made a Blade Runner game, but frankly it would cost huge and paid little.

Boss Randy Pitchford said "that one failed" business wise, they'd likely spend around $25m developing it but wouldn't "make it back."

At first it was believed that every Xbox 360 Assassin's Creed 2 included a demo for Splinter Cell: Conviction, or at least a code to download it.

Sorry that's not the case. In fact the card inside the box doesn't mention 'demo' anywhere, only that a "free instant download" can be yours.

Developer Remedy has kept Alan Wake very close to its chest, almost rivalling Rockstar Games for super game secrecy; thankfully no more.

Five separate gameplay footage clips have posted on the Internet, showing some juicy Alan Wake moments for fans. It releases in May, 2010.
