CyberConnect2 to unveil three "original new works" in 2013

Asura's Wrath creator CyberConnect2 is a very busy studio over in Japan as CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama teases they'll be announcing three "original new works" later this year, alongside current projects.

They've already got Naruto Shippuuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle and Night Runner (working title) for GREE on smartphones. No Asura's Wrath 2?

The upcoming Xbox Live Marketplace is a bit light, as the biggest upcoming content will be the Season Passes for upcoming Assassin's Creed 3 and Halo 4 downloadable content. The Nightmare on North Point DLC arrives for Sleeping Dogs in time for Halloween.

Akuma joining Ryu as Asura's Wrath DLC [Update: Confirmed]

[Update: Capcom has confirmed Ryu will be available as DLC on the 8th May, and Akuma on 15th May. Both DLC packs will cost 160 MS points each and €1.99 / £1.59 on PSN.]

It seems that Street Fighter's Ryu won't be the only downloadable content coming to Asura's Wrath from the fighting series - recurring villain Akuma will be joining him.

Akuma will be available as downloadable content for $2 USD on the 15th May. Ryu will be released on the 8th May for the same price. Both DLC will be added as "chapters" in the game.

GAME Group's woes continue as it seems that two major releases, Street Fighter X Tekken and Asura's Wrath, will not be available at the retail stores GAME or GameStation. Both games are published by Capcom, and will be released on the 9th March.

Capcom tease Ryu as Asura's Wrath DLC

A teasing shot of Asura and Ryu squaring off in traditional Street Fighter style has been posted by Capcom Japan, but its DLC intended for the upcoming Asura's Wrath for Xbox 360 and PS3.

Will the new action game feature a SFIV mode? Is it just the most impactful way to announce Ryu's arrival via DLC? Capcom say they'll spill the beans soon. Famitsu award it 38/40.
