April 2013 US sales sees Xbox 360, Injustice: Gods Among Us lead

The NPD group has released figures for the US sales from the 4th April through to the 7th May. The Xbox 360 led console sales, with 130K units sold. Sony and Nintendo declined to reveal their unit sales, though reportedly, the Wii U sold 55K units, 20K less than the Wii.

Take 2 has announced that the publisher earned $1.222B for the fiscal year 2013 ending on the 31st March, crediting such titles as BioShock Infinite, MLB 2K13, and Borderlands 2 downloadable content as the chief source, while older titles also drove sales.

Dead Island: Riptide surges atop UK chart, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen 3rd

Techland's Dead Island: Riptide has debuted 1st place in the UK all format chart, knocking Injustice: Gods Among Us down a peg, but it still beat Capcom's release of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.

Star Trek launched 4th, as Tomb Raider and BioShock Infinite nudged down 5th and 6th. LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins, a prequel for 3DS, managed a respectable 8th.

Irrational Games' BioShock Infinite has been knocked out of the sky by Superman and co. as Injustice: Gods Among Us has entered the chart in first place. Fire Emblem: Awakening for 3DS came third.

It's been a while since a brawler has managed to take the UK chart throne. Tomb Raider has slinked down fourth, which is followed by MMO Defiance. FIFA 13, Black Ops 2, Luigi's Mansion 2 still in top ten.
