Borderlands 2 pre-order levels "never before experienced for a 2K title" Poll

Take-Two UK sales director Dave Gould says the publisher is "exceptionally happy" with Gearbox Software's Borderlands 2 because the pre-order numbers keep on climbing up and up.

In fact they increase "week-on-week at a rate" 2K has never seen before. The figures have exceeded their "already high expectations," adding there's "huge momentum" from gamers.

In the latest Borderlands 2 trailer, Sir Hammerlock, a very proper hunter with cybernetic implants, gives gamers a tour of Pandora, showing off all of the new locations, characters, enemies and weapons they can look forward to finding in the sequel.

2K Games has revealed that there will be four downloadable content packs planned for Borderlands 2, the last of which is due to arrive by June 2013. According to the publisher, each DLC pack will include several hours of gameplay with new adventures, allies, enemies and environments in each.

UK independent game stores will be treated to extra support from 2K Games with Borderlands 2 as the publisher partners with Top Trumps to develop just 5000 "strictly limited-edition" card packs.

No more packs will be produced so "once they're gone, they’re gone" and 2K encourage fans to check with their local indie game store. They're available only with pre-orders of Borderlands 2.
