Call of Duty: Ghosts to feature "cooperative mode of sort" in place of Spec Ops

In response to a fan asking if there's to be any Spec Ops in Call of Duty: Ghosts, an Infinity Ward dev responds that there'll be a "cooperative mode of sort," but the studio isn't announcing anything about it yet.

Community coordinator Candice Capen doesn't know "when/if" this new co-op will be revealed. This confirms rumours Modern Warfare's Spec Ops has been dropped.

The black magic that is netcode for Call of Duty decides the match-making fate of millions. It's been revealed that not much is changing with Call of Duty: Ghosts, but they are 'tweaking' bits and pieces to improve the service.

Who they "choose to compensate and why" for lag is what's changing. Treyarch picked players and hosts by geographical proximity with Black Ops 2, but that didn't end problems.

Infinity Ward is bragging that the next-gen console versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts will be running at 1080p at 60 frames per second.
