Virgil Dropped 20% Of Content From Darksiders II
David Adams, studio general manager, and Joe Madureira, creative director, have admitted to dropping around 20% of content from Virgil's Darksiders II.

Darksiders II had been in development a long time before getting a 26th June release date in February. While THQ CEO Danny Bilson insists that the game will be ready by that date, he won't hesitate to delay it if the game isn't ready yet.

Darksiders II Game Director Marvin Donald doesn't believe they would be able to get away with another parallel story, he told Strategy Informer.
When talking about Darksiders as a franchise, we asked Marvin whether the studio plans to revisit the iconic ending of the first game.
"I think we have to, right?," he said. "Imagining myself from a gamer’s perspective, I’d be disappointed if Vigil did the same thing. It’s just too much of the same. We can only get away with it once…"

THQ has announced via the official Darksiders Twitter feed that Darksiders II will be hitting retail this Summer on the 26th June.

THQ drops family video games, aims for the hardcore gamer

THQ has announced that the company would be readjusting its focus more on the hardcore games, and would be eschewing family games. This shift in focus was the result of sales in the past few years.
