Techland's upcoming Dying Light has some similarities to its previous open world zombie game, Dead Island, but the developer reassures both games are quite different. The former has more of a Mirror's Edge style to it, complete with parkour, with also a key day-night cycle (which adds a Dead Rising element to it.)

The first trailer to be released for Dead Island developer Techland's Dying Light has been posted online by publisher Warner Brothers. In this CGI teaser we get a glimpse at the game's free-running ambitions.

Dying Light is Techland's sandbox zombie survivor where day/night cycles play a crucial role as we scavenge by day and fight off hordes by night. Exploration is a key focus in the game.

Warner Brothers have announced they are to publisher Dead Island developer Techland's next major project called Dying Light, which features an open world with scavenging by day and survival by night.

Night-time brings with it increasingly dangerous levels of infected to beat back, using the gear and supplies we've scrapped together. It's for current and next-gen, as well as PC.

The first new IP from Techland since Dead Island is all about those feel good moments from the likes of Quake, Hexen, Diablo and Heretic back in the 1990s. The Polish studio is infusing co-op with fantasy.

They want Hellraid to feel like it was "made by guys in their '30s," touching on those simpler Quake and Hexen days. We choose between four classes and take on hordes of foes.
