Dead Rising 2 developer Capcom Vancouver has announced in its twitter feed that the studio has cut 7% of its workforce today. The developer, however, added, "We’re still growing and aggressively seeking great talent."

Capcom Vancouver, formerly Blue Castle Games, developed Capcom's Dead Rising 2 and it became a hit with fans despite switching out the main star.

The Caze Zero and Case West standalone games were "definitely part of the plan" from the beginning, but Off the Record "started its life" as a director's cut.

Bastion is leading Xbox Live Arcade sales this past week, as was expected, but there are some interesting games in the top 20, as released by Microsoft.

Captivate teaser banners hint at Dead Rising 3 announcement?

Capcom has had three teaser banners escape from their Captivate event but they're heavily pixelated. Keen eyed gamers though reckon they see Dead Rising 3.

Monster Hunter, Phoenix Wright and Dead Rising 3 are the front runners for these pixel-teasing banner shots. We'll know for sure by tomorrow anyway.

Capcom Vancouver on two projects

Dee Jay Randall of Capcom Vancouver, formerly Blue Castle Games, has announced at GDC 2011 that his developer studio has two projects in the pipe.

He didn't reveal specifics but did talk at length on the studio's efforts to greatly improve the game design of co-op play, reducing network loads and such.
