Visceral "would love" live action Dead Space, no "cheap cash-in"

Survival horror mega star Dead Space could become a live action movie if developer Visceral Games get their wish, but they won't be rushing into it.

The reason Dead Space is so popular is because they strive to do "everything right," says the studio. They'll be "doing the same with the film" if it starts up.

EA has once again backed an animated film for Dead Space, their super survival horror franchise. It's due on DVD and Blu-ray January 24th - rated 18.

Aftermath bridges the end of Dead Space and the beginning of the sequel. This is EA's second animated flick for Dead Space with 'Downfall' proving a hit.

President Frank Gibeau of the EA Games label has said the movie-game business, which was once their bread and butter, is crumbling into dust.

Hits now come from games given time "to get to quality," not licensed and 'creatively limiting' IPs. It's why EA "dumped" James Bond eventually.

Dead Space developer Visceral Games has just gotten a huge investment from EA as they align their third-person action slate under the Visceral label.

Yes Visceral is now a label for EA, and they have a "rough estimate" of 1 game a year from the California-based studio. They have 4 new title projects.

No sequel is in the works for Dante’s Inferno reveals Visceral Games' Zach Mumbach, and there are no plans to make any right now; it's not their call.

If "enough people" are interested in seeing Purgatory or Paradiso, the other Divine Comedy chapters, then they "would make that game." EA 'no pressure'.
