Vertical Slice used scientific methods to determine which Xbox 360 game was the scariest, and to determine what constitutes scariness in a game. They used both interviews and empirical data, and also objective scientific methods, including biometrics, including heart rate, skin surface temperature, and GSR (Galvanic Skin Response).

While there is no official confirmation of Dead Space 3, EA has begun taking on new senior development staff for a project within the space horror IP.

They call it a "major opportunity" for someone to "greatly contribute" to their stellar survival horror smash hit. Nothing was at E3, what about Gamescom?

EA boss John Riccitiello, now credited with 'saving' the publisher, has said in a speech that if anything they've "failed well," with a lot of mileage left to go.

It hasn't entirely paid off yet he argues, but they've had "a few wins" getting there. He "lost a few friends" making the transitions as some 'couldn't adapt'.

Announced on the Dead Space 2 Facebook page, two new multiplayer maps will be coming for Dead Space 2. According to Electronic Arts, the new maps will be a part of the "Outbreak Map Pack," which includes The Academy and The Concourse.

EA: Two or three new IPs 'always in the works', reveals at E3

During its fiscal investor call, EA revealed they've always got two or three new IPs being worked on so they don't need to rely on non-stop sequels.

They teased more is likely to be known about them at E3 this year. Recent examples of new IP include Dead Space, Dante's Inferno, and Dragon Age.
