The upcoming Xbox Live Marketplace is a bit light, as the biggest upcoming content will be the Season Passes for upcoming Assassin's Creed 3 and Halo 4 downloadable content. The Nightmare on North Point DLC arrives for Sleeping Dogs in time for Halloween.

Developer Treasure plans a sequel to Guardian Heroes, but publisher SEGA first wants to "revitalize the IP" meaning they have to work on an XBLA remake.

The side-scrolling developer promised it's "core mechanics" will remain unchanged although they "may create " characters and backdrops in 3D. It's out October.

SEGA has announced that Guardian Heroes, Treasure's classic Action-RPG originally released on the Sega Saturn, will be released on 12th October on Xbox Live Arcade.

Players will be able to experience all of the original title's side-scrolling action in fully re-mastered HD. In addition, players can also battle online with up to 12 players cooperatively.

Sega recently announced that it would be relaunching an updated version of the side-scrolling brawler known as Guardian Heroes on the XBLA, although now the publisher wants to know if you would be interested in seeing a PSN version too.

Guardian Heroes was an exclusive beat 'em-up title developed by Treasure from the golden days of the Sega Saturn. Sega will give Guardian Heroes a full HD overhaul, online co-op and you'll be able to switch back to the original version at any time.

One of the most beloved Sega Saturn titles will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade, as Sega has announced developer Treasure's Guardian Heroes for Xbox Live Arcade. Guardian Heroes was a side-scrolling beat'em up with light RPG elements, much like River City Ransom, and was released for the Saturn. The game has been re-mastered for Arcade with enhanced graphics, online co-op and battle modes, as well as all-new modes of play and other new features. The game will be available this Fall.
