Gamers who are curious about Ubisoft's upcoming survival game I Am Alive won't be seeing it on the PC platform. Piracy is the chief reason that the PC version would be passed over, according to the game's creative director Stanlislas Mettra.

Creative director Stan Mettra of Ubisoft Shanghai says I Am Alive was "just not getting there" in terms of excitement, which is why it changed studios, engine tech and location.

Ubisoft has proven with a 'comeback trailer' that disaster survivor I Am Alive is still twitching and due out for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
Our character will be hunting for supplies as he deals with the dangerous environment and its inhabitants. We'll be looking after kid too, the guy's daughter.

Seems Ubisoft's mysterious I Am Alive title is well and truly alive, despite being pretty-much MIA since it was announced back in 2008.
Ubisoft have now announced that it will coming to Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network this winter, meaning that this has become a digital-only title.
