Major Nelson reveals the upcoming Marketplace content for next two weeks
Major Nelson has announced the upcoming Xbox Live Marketplace content coming to the service in the next two weeks. The content is highlighted by the Minecraft-like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim expansion Hearthfire today, while Armored Kill is coming to Battlefield Premium members next week, while the 4th Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 DLC pack, Final Assault, arrives this week.
May 2012 US sales down 28% over last year despite Diablo III

Diablo III became the first PC game to lead US videogame sales since Starcraft II two years ago, but it wasn't enough to prevent sales from suffering a 28% drop from May 2011 to May 2012, according to the NPD Group. This has been a trend in dipping sales for the past few months, starting with February 2012's 20% drop from February 2011.

It seems the UK videogame market is not the only one experiences a depression in sales, as the NPD has announced that videogame sales in the US in February 2012, amounting to $1.06B, is down 20% in a year-to-year comparison with February 2011. Console sales are down 18% in year-to-year, while console game sales are down 23%. Videogame accessories are down 16%.
UbiSoft: Just Dance getting acceptance from "hardcore" gamers

In an interview with GameSpot, UbiSoft senior vice president of sales and marketing Tony Key claims that the reason Just Dance 3 was the 2nd most purchased game of 2011 is that the hardcore audience is beginning to accept it.

EA Sports' FIFA 12 has kept itself atop the UK all format chart for the fourth consecutive week, with Just Dance 3 the heir apparent. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim follows in 3rd place.
Zumba Fitness 1 and 2 claim 6th and 7th respectively. Battlefield 3 manages to get ahead of Modern Warfare 3 taking 4th. Need for Speed: The Run bookends 10th.
