Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIII-2 launched as the UK number one last week, following closely by Konami's Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. FIFA 12 has been knocked down 4th.
Battlefield 3 pulled a flanking manoeuvre to get 3rd, and Namco's Soul Calibur V entered 5th. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 slinks down 7th, and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 8th.

When can we expect our bundle of HD Metal Gear Solids from Konami? No they won't be in your Christmas stocking I'm afraid, but aren't too far away.
Konami has announced that the HD remakes are coming February 3rd to Xbox 360 and PS3, with the latter sporting Konami's 'Transfarring' save game system.

Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, which includes Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, will be getting a limited edition for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The limited edition will feature a 248-page art book and exclusive packaging created by series artist Yoji Shinkawa.

We finally get an official summary from Konami on what the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection features, and it's big enough to split across "two DVDs for Xbox 360."
Each game has reworked "HD visuals, improved sound" and Trophy/Achievements. They're kind enough to "chronologically" list the included Metal Gears for us.
