Publisher THQ is "transitioning its portfolio" away from "kids titles and movie-based" licensing which means two Australia based studios are now closing down.

Blue Tongue Entertainment and THQ Studio Australia are no more. THQ Studio Phoenix meanwhile ends game making but stays open for quality assurance.

Brink outguns LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean in UK chart

Splash Damage's team objective shooter Brink has managed to beat the hordes of LEGO and Pirates of the Caribbean fans to nab the UK all formats top spot.

The new LEGO game at least entered 2nd, pushing Zumba Fitness 3rd. Portal 2 slips 4th and Mortal Kombat 6th. MX Vs ATV Alive has entered the chart 10th.

THQ: PSN offline has had "small impact" to company revenue

CEO Brian Farrell of THQ admits that PSN being down from the attacks has had a "small impact" on their revenue stream but otherwise "minor" problems.

Farrell is confident PSN should be up by May 10th when MX vs. ATV Alive releases, which is supported by an in-game store as it carries a low MSRP of $39.99.

James Stewart's personal motocross "playground" will be MX vs. ATV Alive's first piece of DLC reveals publisher THQ. It's a complete "digital replica".

New copies of the game receive the added content for free, while second hand buyers will have to purchase it. MX vs. ATV Alive releases on Xbox 360 and PS3.
