FIFA 12 continues to have a strong hold on the UK market, as it was the leading retail seller in the British Isles. Star Wars: The Old Republic, the major licensed BioWare MMO, debuted at 10th.

Bethesda's dragon hating RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has retaken the number one spot in the UK all format chart, as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 plays second fiddle.

Ubisoft's Rayman: Origins entered 39th. FIFA 12 has dribbled down 4th, but Battlefield 3 has surged the ladder up to 6th. Uncharted 3 rose 9th from 16th, and Batman: Arkham City held 15th.

If you want a cheap time at the till this week then GAME might be your answer. They're promoting a trade-in scheme for low priced blockbusters this week, like Saints Row: The Third.

By trading in the likes of Batman: Arkham City, Battlefield 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 or Uncharted 3 you can get other triple-A launches almost for nothing.

EA's Black Box studio is developing Need For Speed: The Run and they're sticking with their past history of providing a narrative-driven racing experience.

They admit the Need for Speed journey is "a little bit of trial and error," given the brand size. DICE's Frostbite 2 let's them "tell the story" in the right way.

The Nielsen Report has released its "Top 20 Games to Watch" list, which analyzes what games are the most highly anticipated for the holiday season, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 tops the charts.
